Big Updates at Saturday Swap Meets – Location, Growth, and More Food Coming!

Since launching Saturday Swap Meets, we’ve learned a lot from both our sellers and our shoppers — and thanks to that feedback, we’ve made a few important updates we’re excited to share.

A Better Spot at the Fairgrounds

One of the biggest changes is where the swap meet is set up at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Based on input from both buyers and sellers, we’ve moved closer to the bathrooms and the Grafton Building.

While this new location doesn’t have quite the same long-distance visibility as our original spot, the convenience factor is a huge improvement. No more long walks across the parking lot, better access to restrooms, and significantly easier parking for everyone attending.

Just as important — this area still gives us plenty of room to grow. We have the capacity to expand the swap meet as much as demand allows, without feeling cramped or overcrowded.

Growing Fast — Sellers and Buyers Are Showing Up

Last weekend was a great example of the momentum we’re building:

  • About 25 sellers participated
  • Around 500 buyers attended
  • Approximately 90% of buyers reported finding something they loved and making a purchase

That’s exactly what we want to see — happy buyers discovering treasures and sellers seeing real results. It’s a win for everyone.

Built-In Cross-Promotion = More Buyers

One of the biggest advantages of being next to the Grafton Building is the natural cross-promotion it creates. Events happening inside the building drive additional foot traffic straight into the swap meet.

We’ve already seen a significant portion of our buyers coming directly from those events, which means more eyes, more sales, and more exposure for our sellers without any extra effort on their part.

More Food Trucks Are Coming!

Another big announcement: we’re expanding our food offerings

We’re actively working to bring in up to five different food trucks to create a better experience for buyers and sellers alike. More food options mean people stay longer — and that usually translates into more shopping.

If you know someone who runs a food truck, please share this opportunity with them.

Because food vendors require an additional concessionaire fee, pricing is slightly different than standard seller spaces:

  • $100 for one week
  • $150 for two weeks ($75 per week)
  • $200 for four weeks ($50 per week)

Our goal is to create a strong, diverse food lineup that helps attract even more buyers to the swap meet.

Our Goal: 100 Vendors by the End of February

We’re aiming to grow Saturday Swap Meets to 100 vendors by the end of February, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Whether you sell:

  • Yard sale items
  • Tools
  • Arts & crafts
  • Clothing
  • Home décor
  • Specialty items
  • Or food

There’s a place for you here.
